Rowing is rigorous. It is recommended that you are cleared by your primary care provider. SRC sponsored social gatherings amongst members have been suspended.
Board and coxswains continue virtual meetings.

COVID-19 Symptoms:

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Anyone can have mild to severe symptoms. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell (Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea)
This list does not include all symptoms. Please consult with the CDC’s website for the most up to date list. Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness.

Definitions:

Close contact - contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive for more than 15 minutes, without face covering and less than 6 feet apart.
Fully vaccinated – two weeks after the second vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks after the J&J vaccine testing - Either antigen test or PCR test is acceptable. A PCR test is more reliable but may take 24-72 hrs for results. A physician’s order may be needed for a PCR test. A PCR test is more costly than an antigen test if paying out of pocket.

For Anyone Who Has Been Around a Person with COVID-19 or suspected ill with COVID-19 and are fully vaccinated:

  • May not row until negative test result is received or 14 days after exposure.
  • Get tested 3-7 days after exposure.
  • It is recommended to consult with your primary care provider. They are aware of your own medical condition and can guide you with the proper testing and isolation protocols.

I think or know I had COVID-19, and I had symptoms*

You can be around others after:
  • 10 days since symptoms first appeared and
  • 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
  • Other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving*
  • May only row when feeling 100%
*Solano County does not recommend retesting to discontinue isolation. Remnants of the virus remain in the body for up to 90 days and can cause a positive result. Isolation for 10 days after symptoms began if illness was mild to moderate or 20 days after severely or critically ill. Consulting with your primary care provider is recommended.

I tested positive for COVID-19 but had no symptoms

  • If you continue to have no symptoms, you can be with others after 10 days have passed since you had a positive test for COVID-19.
  • You can row if feeling 100% and remain symptom free after 10 days have passed since you had a positive test for COVID-19.
  • If you develop symptoms after testing positive, follow the guidance above for “I think or know I had COVID-19, and I had symptoms.”
